

Cambridge Innovation Center to Collaborate with Pakistan on MIT-Inspired Quantum Valley
The Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Prof. Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhary, met with representatives of the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) to discuss collaboration on strengthening Pakistan’s innovation ecosystem through the Quantum Valley initiative under URAAN Pakistan.
Founded in 1999, CIC is one of the world’s leading innovation centers. It has supported more than 10,000 companies and organizations, whose members have collectively raised over US$34 billion in investment capital.
During the meeting, the Minister shared Pakistan’s vision of developing a world-class innovation hub by drawing inspiration from the successful ecosystem of Kendall Square at MIT. The proposed Quantum Valley is intended to encourage entrepreneurship, support technology commercialization, help startups grow, strengthen research collaboration, and drive innovation across the country.
CIC welcomed the vision and expressed its interest in working with Pakistan to help develop Quantum Valley into a thriving environment for entrepreneurs, researchers, innovators, and technology companies.
The meeting reflected Pakistan’s continued commitment to building strong international partnerships that support innovation, create opportunities for young talent, and help establish the country as a leading regional destination for emerging technologies.
